Plex android waiting to download

Same issue here on two Nexus 5Xs. I gave up trying to get to the bottom of the issue and signed up to Spotify instead. As expected, I was able to get things moving again on my S7. My assumption is that at some time in the last month the DB Device ID the server tracked no longer matched the local Device ID or something similarly related to the Device information on the server , and so the sync path being generated for the items waiting to be downloaded became invalid, thus the errors.

And now we wait…. None of the aforementioned solutions have fixed the issue when trying to sync with a Windows 10 Plex App.

The only time I was able to get it to work was when the client and server devices were on the same network and part of the same homegroup. Otherwise the above scenario always plays out. Very frustrating as my decision to pay for Plex was primarily driven by this remote sync feature which has never worked properly for me. I have it on my IOS devices as well.

So I think that is a misdirection to getting this solved. I have this issue every time I go to travel. I start to sync my media a week in advance as it takes me at least that long to get it all to work. I have a lifetime plex pass, and as other have mentioned this is one of the features that attracted me to Plex.

Deleting the app and restarting the sync quite frankly is NOT even a partial work around. It is hit and miss as to if it will work or not. On previous trips I have tried that and ended up with less content making the sync before departure, as you are never sure where it will stop working. I reboot devices, servers push the SYNC button, pre-convert media, delete individual syncs and restart them. I then went back one menu and hit Force Stop. As soon as I opened Plex back up my files started syncing again.

I tried the new Plex Download feature, and no matter what file I tried, the process got stuck. Plex Server: 1. Plex Clients: iOS 7. Some users have discovered a workaround that reportedly allows completing downloads through Plex Downloads:.

Basically, users should allow the Plex app to run in the background permanently while downloading. Although those who confirm that it works are iOS users, it could work on Android too.
